At 100 yards, I was holding 2 - 3 inches with survival ops ball ammo.

what would you recommend to feed the Serbu with that would have decent accuracy? I keep reading Hornady A-Max match are too long to feed reliably on a semi.

Just about the best there is.

I bought some from survivalops.com and if it's not accurate will use for plinking
I will get some from 50bmgsupply as soon as I can free some funds… |

I think you will find that "cheap" ammo is best even if you lose some MOA.
It gets real easy to pull the trigger on that beast. 
I see no need to throw $50-60 a mag down range with a-max's when ball will work almost as well. Trust me, you will want to get into reloading. |
