I'm going to roll some of my own for a new Safety Harbor purchased at Knob Creek.
I have Surplus WC860 and pull-down API's from Pat's and a pound or two of AA8700 powder:
Has anyone a recommended load using LC brass in a 22" barrel?

The length of the barrel is not the important factor. What matters at this point is the weight of the bullet. I am not familiar of this bullet and its weight.

I settled at 219gr of 860 with the API.CCI primers and LC brass.Just bought some once fired cleaned LC12 brass off Gunbroker-.45 each plus shipping.

Work fine thru the Barret and AR50.

Is NY still working on banning the 50??

The .50 ban resurfaces every year, but so far hasn't gotten any traction. The Assembly tried to include it in the "SAFE Act" which as a brutally draconian anti-gun Bill that was snuck through the Legislature at the behest of Andrew Cuomo in the dead of a weekend night right after Sandy Hook.....Never in NY's history has any legislation been so vehemently opposed; even the anti-gun crowd doesn't like the way it was shoved up our asses.

While I can't find the card I had written the load down on, I'm thinking it was right at 225grs of WC860
I cannot attest to accuracy as the ammo was pretty much for blasting.

212 of 860 works for me in my AR50 with API's and gets a MV of 2700 @ 1,730 feet alt.

219grs
212grs
Would I be assuming too much that given the size of the round that 7 grains isn't going to make very much difference?
I do understand how as little as a half grain can make a difference in accuracy when reloading smaller rounds; I figure ~ 1/2gr for small cases like .223, 1gr for .308/30'06 size, and 2 grans for magnums but with the BMG we're about four times the charge.

I also noticed the Bottle says it's a faster burn than H870 and to reduce by 15%
Just to clarify that we're using Surplus WC-860 here.

Depends on your lot of WC 860. I've loaded API's with LC brass using various lots of powder. My range has been from 218-225 grains of 860 depending on the speed of the lot. Start loads with 643-650 grain bullets and WC 860 is recommended at 210 grains and work up.

Yes...surplus WC 860 virgin from Widener's.  Seven grains CAN make a difference in a 50.  I get a sticky bolt @215 and a heavy bolt lift @ 220.  212 works perfectly for my AR-50 and is dead ass accurate with all milsurp bullets I've tried.
