Does everyone use a shoulder mount for their muzzle brake/flash hider?

Yes, I run an AAC brakeout on my 17s and use the KBA shoulder ring. It is the best answer to a dumb problem.  Just ensure you do not over torque.

I use them for my Thunderbeast flash hides and brakes. 22 to 25 ft pounds.

Not needed for AAC flash hider, or any flash hider or muzzle device that does not need times.

Not true at all. If your choice of brake/flash hider/QD mount uses the barrel shoulder to seat against instead of the muzzle then you'll want the KBA ring.

The flash hider mount does not need to use the shoulder, and mounts against the muzzle just fine.

So it looks like standard and deep socket will work on the scar. I was getting conflicting info from silencer shop and aac.
