I am looking at picking up one of these when they come out. I know the scar is 1 in 12 twist rates on the 16 inch barrel. I want to go longer. Is there a correlation between twist rate and a longer barrel. should the twist rate open up as the barrel gets longer? I am thinking a 118LR 175 grain round. so 1 in 10 in a 20inch like the rem 700. Is there a different theory on this?

Twist rate is more relevant to bullet weight and totally irrelevant to barrel length. Heavier bullets typically need a faster rate to stabilize better. The longer barrel gives you more velocity, and coupled with a heavier bullet makes a great combo for long range work.
