I'm looking to sell and don't want to hold out for the last nickle but also don't want to feel screwed.
I'd say its 98% or better and looks to be low round count.
Machine Gun Price Guide sez 25K average but that seems high IMO.
Whats fair these days ?

M16, M16A1 or M16A2?

You might get lucky at $22k. Occasionally I see a decent M16 for about this level, but they don't last long.
Mostly for the condition you desire $25k is the floor.
This new stock market slump might bring the prices down a bit.

The upper means nothing as they can easily be swapped. If the roll mark says "M16" that's why it is.
You can get $21-24k in a private sale, you can use gun broker, sturm, or subguns forum. If you want to sell I'm a hurry you can sell directly to a dealer for 80-90% of market value so around $19-20k

It seems like int he last few months colts have been soft easy to find and prices are steady if not falling a bit but the non-colt oly RRs are kind of hard to find. Hard to say for sure why, in a few months it can change as its such a small market, one large collection bumped on the market or one big buyer can change prices greatly.

Colt 614 is not a conversion. It's a factory machine gun. 'M16' is a US military designation. The name of the rifle is AR-15.
M16 roll mark is a commercial/export rollmark. It's the same spec as M16A1 roll mark. I think you will find the M16 roll mark on 9m serial number guns.

On the 9-mil SN guns, Colt initially used the "M16" roll mark, even though all 9-mil guns were made to A1 spec. The lowest number that I've found with the "M16A1" roll mark was SN 9103617. The highest I've seen with the plain "M16" roll mark is 9078740, so the change occurred sometime between those two.

if its in excellent condition i think you could list it for $22k for a quick sale....or list it for $25k like everyone else and let it sit.... Dave Spiwak has a NIB M16a1 for $26,500......and its been there for a few weeks at least....tells you where the market is

Lots of good info in this thread.
If it were me, I'd list it at $25k and take the first buyer >$22.5k. Lots of people let it sit at $25k, but I bet they get slammed with reasonable 20-22k offers.
If it were you, I'd sell it to me at $18k

Not unreasonable. I picked one up in November for 18.5k. It's a regular Colt M16 roll mark. Frank had an A1 on sale for 20.9K the other day. I didn't see a pic just his emailed price list.
