Every 10 or so rounds i'll get an FTE when shooting with my M4-2k on. I also have an AAC Brakeout muzzle brake. Unsuppressed runs 100%. Barrel is 10.5" long. I'm shooting brass 55gr.
Do I need to upgrade my extractor, or are there other things I should be looking at?

Possible fixes (the first one addresses the root problem---gas flow---while the others address merely the symptom---extraction):

(1) Adjustable gas block
(2) Heavier buffer
(3) Extractor upgrade

I have another brand new AIM bolt I can try. I also ordered H2 and H3 Colt buffers.

Yep, gotta slow that action down.  Maybe use an H3?

Would a piston upper help?

ive heard they are good for SBRs and MGs because they are adjustable. but they do add quite a bit of weight to the rifle.

Seems to me like full auto + suppressed aren't two things that go great together. Am I wrong?

I shoot mine just fine. All it takes is getting the gas right otherwise you're going to have a ridiculously high rate of fire and a very gassy gun. I run piston and DI upper suppressed on full auto. All of them set up to work on the same buffer (H2).
