Briley manufacturing in Texas can do it. There should be a lot of shotgun smiths that can install choke threads. I am no expert but I had a gun that I wanted to chop from 26 to 21 for turkey hunting and they said the barrels were not thick enough at 21 to thread for the regular browning chokes. You might have to get thin wall choke tubes.
My gun was a browning citori I have no experience with an 870. |

Tornado Technologies did one for me. Cut the barrel down to 12" and threaded it for Rem choke tubes but is has been a few years. I don't know it they still do that.

My miling machine for the chop. Have not had the threading done yet. I own a bunch of Mossbergs and Stoegers (which both use Win chokes) so I will go with Win threads. I may just invest in the pilot(s) and tap myself since I have a few SBRs and an IC Mossy and a C Mossy I'd like to thread.

I have a (Local to my Job) shop in SW Louisiana called Action Arms lined up to thread my 12" 870, as soon as my form 1 approves. Also have BWE firearms doing an 1100 for me. I spoke with Briley in Houston, but they would not commit until they could inspect the barrel in person. I have seen several 12" 870's done so it should not be hard to find someone to do it. Unfortunately it cannot be done on a Benelli.

What was the turnaround time? I have him adding Remington factory type rifle sights also.

Another Rose Action here. Did two for me. Cut, crown, sight, thread. Outstanding work. Fast. Sent one barrel, and two days later got an email from him. Thought it was a question. It was the return tracking number.
