I thought I would show a few pics of the ultra scarce German WWII Sturmpistole and Kampfpistole.   This is the grandfather of the modern standalone launcher we know and love.   This is really a neat piece and as you can see was a design model of many of the launchers we see today.  It saw very limited use during WWII by the Germans and is today considered a valuable collectible.  It differs from the flare launchers we see on the surplus market, as it had a stock, sight and barrel rifling.  It had an approx. max range of 100 yards.

Interessant..... Looks like they just had a 26.5mm base round with the delay that screwed into the handle/fuse well of the standard other grenades.....
