Any sources for the legacy m16 mounts. My 203 is shifting forward because it has a m4 mount. It also has a fair amount of side to side slop that has marred the finnish on a transferable colt lower.

I found mine at Numrich (gunpartscorp), but I got the impression that's not a common item/quantity that they stock.
You could probably turn one up on ebay or gunbroker with the right search string.

If it's mounted [almost] properly now, you should only need to substitute a rifle bracket to get the stand-off spacing against the front handguard retainer.

As far as side-to-side play, that's controlled by the diameter of the steel pin inserted into the rear of the M203 receiver, and its interface with the 6 o'clock slot in the barrel nut. Something's wrong if it can wobble at all.

It shouldn't touch the lower, except for the trigger guard.

You can find the M16/M203 brackets on Gunbroker, if I'm understanding the problem correctly.
