When doing your finger print cards for form 1 and 4 can they be digital scanned and printed? Or do they have to manuel ink/cards old style ?
The reasons I ask is our sherif's department has a digital scanner now and can do both types digital and old ink cards.

Digital printouts are fine now. Make sure they print the correct ORI (WVATF0800).

Last set I did I scanned them. I called the local (in state) ATF office and the friendly gal had to check with her supervisor but she said scanned was OK as long as it was printed on the ATF cards and the signatures were in ink. FWIW she also said they are now telling people 6-9 month wait on form 4's instead of 9-12 months. The scanned prints looked perfect on the screen but printer quality was iffy so I guess I'll see if they pass, but she also said that prints were one of the least likely things to hold up your approval.

I filed a Form 1 a three years ago and we did the inkless cards with no problems.
