I know nothing at all and been doing a little research and honeslty its overwhelming honestly. Ive read that a 30 cal can is probably my best option as i have a 308 aac-sd 700 thats already suprressed and several ak so that does make sense in that regard. But outside of that help a brother out!

What gun/caliber are you trying to suppress?

If you have a .308 and a few ak's that you wanted to suppress as well I would probably go with a .30cal can if you can only afford one

a dedicated 5.56 can is going to be lighter and give better dB reduction though

there is a suppressor forum I would probably post in as well

I was in your shoes recently. I bought a .30 Omega. I switch between 5.56 and .308 with it. I'm pleased. I think the 5.56 end plate makes a  significant difference.

I have two Omegas and love them. I have heard the brake and 7.62 end cap on a 300BLK back to back and, iirc, a brake and a 5.56 end cap back to back on a 5.56. I definitely recall no difference with the 300BLK, and think I recall no difference on the 5.56. Is the 5.56 end cap you are using a SiCo end cap or an after market end cap. And do you notice a difference in tone?

OP, if a 6.8SPC SBR isn't on the horizon the Omega would be a great choice. For some reason SiCo rates the aomega at 16" for the 6.8. I use a YHM ULT for my 6.8 SBR, and it is also a nice 30 cal can.
