IMHO, don't settle for anything less than titanium tubes with stainless baffles. Mask and TacSol Axiom fit that bill and for me are the lesser evils in cleaning.
I have two of each and love them equally and would make the same purchase again with zero hesitation. |

I've been checking the Other SOT's within driving distance. There are NO Dead Air Masks for Rimfire Pistols anywhere. If it ain't in stock I'm not going to get it. At last count a Dealer said the Current wait time is Eight (8) Months. I would like to enjoy some Quiet Time before next Christmas http://ar15armory.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/nfa%20stamp.gif View Quote 8 months is the guesstimate for a Form 4. The transfer from a distributor or another dealer to your dealer is via Form 3 which is running about a month according to Silencer Shop's data. |

I have four .22 cans:
Sparrow Mask Element 2 Element 2 As you can see, only one was loved enough to buy two. |

After due consideration - And Availability - the winner is Gem-Tech's G-22.
This will be the Third (3rd) Gem-Tech suppressor I will have ever bought. Attached File |

I have never heard much about the Gemtech Outback IID Silencer in Titanium on here.
Based on my own analysis, it seemed like an around great can. As a result, based only on my own evaluation, I bought one. |

GiggleSmith,
You will love it. I have a Spectre II and the GM-22 and both are great with different characteristics. The GM-22 has some FRP on my Walter P-22 and SIG P226 with 22lr conversion kit, but none on my 16" 15/22 or 10/22. Every time I pick it up I giggle because of how light it is. Fun can. JPK |

You will love the GM-22.
Just remember to take her apart when warm and hit it quickly with a nylon brush. It's really easy. |

I was torn between the sparrow and mask. I went with the mask, only cause when i went back to buy the sparrow, someone bought it already. I just got the stamp for it but havent had a chance to shoot it yet.

Neither of them were In Stock. Like I said: I want to enjoy the new can before Next Christmas. View Quote I'm sure the Gemtech is a good can also. Just about any .22 can being made currently is going to be a good one. You will enjoy it! Congrats on your purchase. Hope the wait isn't too long for you. |

You picked a winner, I have had my Gemtech OB2 for exactly ten years now. In 2014 it was upgraded to the IOU core (almost identical to GM-22 core) and it is better than ever, more versatile, and user serviceable. I just loosen the tube and retighten after each shooting session so it doesn't seize. It takes about 15 seconds with a 1/4 " drive ratchet. Truly one hell of a can and stupid lightweight.

Was the adapter needed due to the skinny barrel? I have a Rascal I considered threading just because its so damn light weight, but there is not much meat at the muzzle. View Quote Yes. Paid For This Afternoon.
I took its picture attached to its future host with my Cell Phone in the store. I thought I got it all. Maybe next time. For obvious reasons I couldn't send the paperwork to the Post Office today. Tomorrow morning, First Thing. I may be there before the Office opens. Then: The Big Wait. August or September Or am I going to get lucky????? Attached File |

Its a 8 or so month wait after it goes processing. They are still entering forms from july i read.... they are 5 months behind entering forms, plus your 8 month or so wait if it still is that after it is entered. I have form 4 in, check cashed end of october i dont expect to even see it till this time next year... |

I know it's easier said than done, but just try to forget about it. You're gonna have a wait ahead of you, I'd check in a month or two to make sure it's pending, then just leave it alone 'till you get it. It'll feel like an eternity, but your patience will be rewarded.

Man it's going to be a while so you got to be patient. I have 4 pre-41F cans pending right now and the best thing I can recommend it to purchase another while you wait.
As of 3-1-2017 these dates are the pending dates and not the purchase or submitted date as I've called and checked on them. Mask - 253 days Omega 30 - 247 days Omega 9k - 240 days I expect another 60 at least on them. I have 2 post 41-F cans a Mask and a Ghost that the ATF checks were cashed 42 days ago and I don't expect those until sometime next year. |

Oh, I know it's going to take some time. BT;DT 5 times before.
I'm not going to bother calling the BATFE until mid June or so. As for June, that's about when I'm planning another suppressor purchase. It's already picked out, too. Call on December's purchase and buy the next one. It would be nice of Uncle Trump to hire more Title II Examiners |
