I've got a Walther P22 & run it suppressed & absolutely love it. Thinking of another .22 to run suppressed as I've got two .22 suppressors (can't have too many right?!). I'm thinking of the Ruger SR22 or Smith & Wesson M&P22 - what do y'all think of them? Is there another .22 pistol I should consider instead?

Buy a ruger 22/45 lite and install Valquartsen accurizing kit.

Thanks. Is the threaded barrel the same threads on the Walther PPS vs. the Ruger SR22 vs. the S&W M&P22? Meaning will my Element 2 & Dead Air Mask fit on all 3 that have threaded barrels?

If you happen to have a SIG P226 or another SIG P2xx variant, SIG makes a 22lr conversion kit. I have a Walter P22, but my SIG P226 with the 22lr kit installed is my favorite. The kit's barrel is threaded and the slide is aluminum and it makes for a large but light suppressed 22 pistol that shoots really reliably.

My vote gets a 22/45 or an M&P 22c

I have a 22/45 Lite and SR22 and both work well.
Have used M&P 22s and they are cool too.
Not impressed with the Walthers and Mosquitoes.

Love it! One great thing about a "full size" pistol like the 19 or one of the P series SIGs with a 22lr kit is that it still fits in your holsters!

I like my SR22 better than my 22/45.

I prefer the triggers on the 22/45 and mk3 but I also love my sr22.

I've got a 22/45 Lite that is a fun host but I have put quite a few Tandemkross/VQ upgrades into it to get it where I want. It also sucks to disassemble but I rarely do that.

Mine has Magpul grips (similar to BP's above), Tandemkross slingshot, Volquartsen trigger and sear, Fire sights etc.

Ruger has just overhauled the MK series with a simple one button takedown. It'll be interesting to see if those changes come to the 22/45 series as well.

VQ sear is all I put in my Mk pistols

LCI filler for the Mk III

Mag disconnect is removed (usually with a Sam Lam or TK bushing)

Kanewolf Slingshot mod

I've put two TK Victory triggers in. They are nice, but not necessary at all.

If I had to pick one mod, it would be the VQ sear. If it were two, the sear and the bushing to remove the mag disconnect.

This and DO IT.

Probably the best out of the box, don't have to dick with it any, host out there.

Why on earth the Victory triggers are so good and the M&P triggers are so shitty is beyond my comprehension.
