I purchased silencerco suppressor height sights for my 1911 but they have yet to be installed

I'm shooting an osprey, so I have very little, of any, sight obstruction on my guns.

I did it in the past, but wouldn't again. Holster compatibility being the main drawback for me.

Yes. Finding holsters can be difficult but I have yet to fail to find what I was looking for.

I have a G22 with a LWD 40/9 threaded barrel. And I tried the "shoot thru method" for years.
It never felt quick or precise. My tritium vials were getting dim, so I got some Ameriglo suppressor height night sights $100 installed @ my LGS. MUCH happier, but I should look for some kind of holster. Maybe one that allows the Trident to be mounted

I've never installed suppressor height sights on any of my handguns. I seem to shoot them well enough without.

This first year I am shooting my guns without suppressor height sights, but I'm already fairly certain will change out to higher sights on my pistols.
I also shoot both eyes open. I'm predominantly using an Ospry 45. |

Some I do, some not. For example my carry 320 is normal, but the one next to the bed has raised sights on it.
Are they necessary... I don't think so. You should be able to hit steel at 25 yards no problem without them. If you can't, it's more a training issue than the sight being obscured. If you're going to 75 or 100 yards, I think they help some.... but that's not an easy shot anyways, and not really what a pistol is designed for. |
