All, what are you using for your 338 LM?  AAC Titan?  Silencerco Harvester?   Griffin Beast?

I am using the AAC TiTan on my 338 and enjoy it a lot.

It is much more pleasant to shoot with it on.

338BA. I got it and the Ultra was released about 9 months later. I like it and haven't decided if I want to send it back for the Ultra upgrade.

Thunderbeast 338 Ultra and SF 338.  My old Thunderbeast 338BA sounded just like my SF and weighed about the same.  My new ultra is much quieter and lighter.

I have no issues with my SiCo Big Bore, the tone makes it sound like a movie gun. Would definitely give the Griffin a look as well, I really like their taper mount. I thought the Thunderbeast was overpriced when I was in the market and still feel the same way now.

I went with Thunderbeast BA, will send it in for upgrade later to Ultra.

Elite Iron was at the top of my list also.

I got to try one out last summer. It was crazy how quiet they could get .338 Lapua to be.

The Beast was a great can but we no longer manufacture it.

Our present .338 silencer is the PRECISION HUNTER 338 Silencer  It is a Taper Mounted suppressor.

8.6" long and only 20 ounces, and meters 136 at the ear on a DTA bull pup in 338.   It meters 132 with 6.5CM on the same platform at the ear.

Great silencer for the money at only 1145 msrp.

Is the PHS easy to self clean?

Iv had my PHS338 for a little over 2 years now and I wouldn't change a thing. I've shot it next to the thunderbeast offerings and I couldn't tell a difference except there wasn't an eternal wait for my can and I hav about 600 extra bucks in my pocket. The taper mount system is very nice like most TOMB setups. I've got their Recce 7 with plans to get the Recce 5 too.

Thanks homie

As I can see you know, the early MRAD's without the cockmod or m-lok are the sexiest

Still waiting on my Surefire 338 Socom in jail right now but not sure if they are shipping to dealers just yet. Will update once it gets approved.

I'm curious to hear what made you buy a Surefire

The only two I have experience with is Elite Iron and AWC.

The AWC PSR Thor really impressed me given it's size and weight.

I am genuinely intrigued by the SIG 338 can. Although I doubt we will see one soon.

Its only for the 338BA cans. They feel that there is a slight chance of one of the welds failing, so you can send the BA in and they will destroy the old can and replace it with an Ultra (another $200 and wait), or they will replace the guts of your can with Ultra guts reusing your tube (not as much weight saving but quieter than the BA and no resubmission).

Last time I was on the 1000 yard range, another gent had a Harvester on his DTA. I was shocked how quiet it was and how much it attenuated recoil.

I'm looking hard at the SiCo Hybrid. At 14ish OZ and under a grand with a stamp it's hard to beat, and half the weight of the Elite Iron (30oz). It may not be as quiet as a full size .338 can but will suit my needs (hunting) as well as range use. The ability to toss it on other hosts is just another perk.
