Really any custom gunsmith as long as you provide the correct dimensions.

ADCO did mine. Both an AR-10 .260 rem barrel and a Remington 700 .308 barrel. Their Ops/AEM profile service gets you a collar too.

Thanks, I appreciate the list!

That's great to hear. The plan so far is to put it on a 20" Remington 700 barrel. I was under the impression they weren't doing anything that wasn't specifically listed under their gunsmithing services, but I see how that could fit under the "Contour/Thread For Allen Engineering Collar" section.

I'll make sure to contribute to the picture portion as soon as I'm able. Thanks again everybody.

I had PVA do mine and it works, but it’s not the prettiest machine work nor did they follow instructions to machine the contour prior coating. The runout is also more than on my AR with a Ron-made collar! I generally like them, but they are undermanned and overworked.

He certainly took the time to talk with me for 20min when I started down the Gordon clone path. Discussed pros and cons of barrel lengths and suppressors and eventually settled on the real deal M4/Gordon can.

Thanks @k31user

Quick little update, the AEM5-M4 collar was the right medicine for my 12.5-inch rebuild. I know most aren't too hot on OCL but they had the part in stock and I just figured Ron had bigger fish to fry sorting out custom work.

Now to get it back out on the range...

Anyone running an AEM5 on a Sig MCX Spear Lt 5.56? I have been thinking about trying mine out on an MCX once I get the stamp approved. First thought is that it may be a little gassy, especially since the rifle was designed to run with their flow through can design.

Would love to hear from anyone that as tried this.

There are better cans for a lot of things than OPS pattern, and I love my two OPS pattern cans. But on a short barrel I would use a muzzle mount can.

Where can you get the thread spacer in order to do the 15.1" with DD RIS II using the NSWR collar?

Soon…

After 15ish years of Mk12 ownership I’m finally getting the last piece of the puzzle. I ditched 5.56 in favor of 6.5 Grendel about 10yrs ago and basically resigned myself to never get the suppressor.  Saw the AEM5-30K pop up on capitol armory a while back and finally gave into temptation when I realized they only had one left in stock.

The poor Mod-H has been sitting in the back of the safe for a long time, new large frame toys have taken the spotlight but I think having the can will change things. If nothing else powder prices being what they are 6.5 Grendel makes for a cheaper range day than 6.5 Creedmoor or 308.

It was just a happy accident, my plan was to add it to cart and start the checkout process to see if they wouldn’t combing shipping with a rimfire can. Then I got an error saying there was insufficient stock and realized I already had one in my cart. So human nature being what it is the can I’d waffled back and forth about buying for the last two weeks became the most important thing in the world for me to get my hands on and I couldn’t get my CC number entered fast enough.

I’ve seen them for sale a couple other places. No idea what kind of production capacity Trajectory Arms has but I figured this would be a popular configuration for them, if they went through the trouble of tweaking the design I imagine they would make a pile of them. The one I bought had a single digit serial number so no idea how good my guess is based on that.

Another option would have been to contact Trajectory Arms directly for a 6.5mm bored AEM5. Was in the same boat. Built Mod's 0, 1 and H in 6.5 Grendel. Reached out to them and they did the requested bore and sent to CA for me.

I tried that route some years back when production went from the Ops name to AE and I didn’t get anywhere I planned to revisit the idea when Otter Creek started to make their version but never got around to it.

Im excited for the AEM5-30K, not just to get the Mod-H out a little more but I’ve had this idea in the back of my mind since getting my SCAR 20 to chop and reprofile the barrel for a flush fit.

I did a couple different setups with it, just to see if I could.  Parts have been repurposed  since.  I used a WOA 16” SPR barrel cut by adco and alleghany GB.

I used a BA 16” mid spr bbl with a Allegheny gb with AE brake and had Dave W. cut it to 13.56”.  Also opened the gp to .078

Using a H buffer it runs great.  I have not shot for groups but no prob ringing steel at 300yds.

Had WOA 16” mid length spr barrels been available I would have gone that route.

How does the CF tube do with the heat from the can? I’m normally not a fan of handguard over suppressor due to the HG heating up from the suppressor. Does the carbon fiber PRI tube negate this heat transfer compared to steel or aluminum?

How long does the mid length tapered block solution work out to? I think my math was about 15” with intermediate and 16.5 with rifle. I used a proof for the latter. It’ll get the chop soon.

Mine is 12.65” with the spikes tapered block. I believe the length would be a skosh longer with the Allegheny arms one.

That gun and one of Eyekhan’s were the inspiration for my build.  I asked Spectermods if he could wrap the PRI tube and he said “probably need a whole case of exacto blades but sure, why not”.  Lol

@unclemoak cut my 16” middy to 13.56” using ae brake and Allegheny gb.  I don’t have my aem5 yet but he did test fit his to my upper.

Edit to add - i did have the gp opened up to .078 (from .076) as well.

Bummer!  When I ordered the AE30 back in August, I was told Trajectory would take over production of the high-volume stuff like the AEM5, but you were going to continue making the "speciality" stuff like the Gordon cans, AE30, etc.  To be honest, the only reason I rushed the order and put up the cash was because I wanted one more suppressor made by the legend himself before he retired!  Looks like I was too late in the end.   Hate to say it, but probably going to cancel my order with HCS since I can pick up a can from Trajectory at any point in time.

Thanks, good sir!
