I had to use the spanner wrench every time I went to take the ASR mount off the can, I have yet to have it come loose on it's own.  Matter of fact, I had it loosen the brake from the rife on my SCAR (must not have had the threads clean enough when I put on the Rocksett).

He probably wants your can.

Did you have any problems with the ASR mount staying tight on suppressor body when changing mounts? I have one pending and I was wondering about this?

I'm glad to see this. One of my hesitations for this suppressor is that back threading for the ASR and direct thread adapter. For 5.56 and 30 cal cans I prefer as few threaded joints as possible so there are fewer things to potentially come loose.

I was going to get some video but i was the only one shooting while my buddy was running the CNC. The finish i accomplished by chucking it up on the lathe and sanding it with different grit sand paper.

I am thinking a lathe and emery or scotch bright.  You could use a peice of all thread and a couple washers and nuts chuck it in a drill and do the same thing too.

The front cap was a pain in the ass, under the black cerakote there is somekind of coating i'm guessing somekind of anodizing that is extremely hard to take off (i just took it off what you can see in the pic) I'm sure you can sand blast it off but i dint want to remove it where it counts. On the can itself i started at 230 grt on the lathe and worked my way to 1000 grt.

The one in the picture was prior to the cuts for the spanner wrench. The way I tightened mine was by hand tightening the adapter then the saker maad mount. I then used the spanner on the Saker maad mount to tighten everything up.

The one in the picture did not have the spanner wrench cuts on it at the time. All adapters will have the same spanner wrench slots as all the Saker MAAD mounts and ASR mounts.

But still no way to hold the core.  Maybe a small strap wrench...

I have just wrapped the can in welding gloves and clamped it in the vice length wise and have never had a problem. I do this to remove stuck end caps on my Sakers.

Can you not grip the end cap at the same time and tighten both? When I had my F1 end caps and adapters done, I had the Saker notches milled into just those and not the tubes. I can twist from both ends if necessary.
View Quote

You can, but I like to distribute tension to the individual pieces so I can give the necessary amount. To me, then end cap doesn't need to be as tight as the rear mount. So using them against each other for tension isn't really an option to me.

So I got some spare time today and got to shoot with a friend. My 11.5 balanced really well with the Omega and didn't feel front heavy at all.

The tone sounded really good to me with the 556 endcap on it, along with making it pretty compact. I took a few shots with it without ear pro on and it's definitely manageable but it's not something I'll do regularly. Below is video of my friend shooting my Omega and his SDN-6 back to back. We agreed that the Omega was quieter at least to us.

The only negative has more to do with me being left handed than the Omega itself. Every time I pulled the trigger I got a money shot of gas to the face which quickly got annoying. However when switching to shooting right handed it wasn't an issue at all. Needless to say I'll be getting an adjustable gas block, probably a SLR Rifleworks since they're on sale this weekend so anyone who owns them feel free to chime in.
