My understanding is that AK's are notorious for having bad thread jobs and what not.

My gemtech hvt and quicksand work well on my ak mount on my m70ab2. I was worried about concentricity and had them install it. No problems. Lots of fun with the grenade site deployed since it kills the gas to the recoil system.
