I currently don't have a .22 because I've not been able to find any reasonable priced ammo since Sandy Hook. We did have a Mk III slab side but gifted it to my little cousin on his birthday.

I'm leaning towards Ruger offerings, various 10/22 models, Mk III, or various 22/45 models. I'm staying away from the Mk IV due to price right now.

Thanks,
Coach

Hard to go wrong with the ones your considering. As you've probably seen, ammo is easily found for 6-7 cents per round for quality ammo these days with better bargains occassionally.

How effective is that suppressor on a revolver?

I've heard of a revolver having a really tight fit between the cylinder and barrel that worked well with a suppressor, but I haven't the foggiest how that'd be.

I've been happy with the Buckmark.

I really like my Ruger 22/45 MkIII threaded model.

1895 Nagant with the gas seal system or the old Dan Wesson revolvers with the adjustable cylinder gap can be effectively suppressed. Of course a suppressor will "help" with any firearm.

OP- personally, I would look for an older MKII. Well built, all steel guns. I have found them new-in-box recently for ~$300. I am not a big fan of the MKIII because of the mag safety and the price of the all steel models. The MKIV doesn't interest me at all because I have so many MKIIs already. The take-down feature is nice but once you figure out how to do it the right way, the MKII is a breeze. Download the instruction sheet of the PAC-LITE upper for a super easy method for reassembly that works right the first time, everytime.

Alternatively, you might consider a Ruger SR22. I have two (one is a suppressor host) and they both run flawlessly but they can feel a little small in the hand and have the mag safety and counter intuitive thumb safety/decocker.

Ruger Single-Six is always a fun choice.

Avoid the Sig Mosquito. Ask me how I know

Not very unless you wrap something around the cylinder gap, then not optimal.

I only know of one revolver that can be suppressed effectively. And it's a POS Russian.

That's why I asked. I have heard others say they were pretty effective if the cylinder gap was kept to a minimum. I just wondered why he went to the trouble of threading a Heritage revolver.

I have a nagant gas seal revolver. But I don't plan on threading it.
