So I'm trying to find a bipod for my Steyr AUG.

I've found this on google and I'd think it would fit pretty good on AUG.

Does anyone know what this is called?

How much money you got?

If you have side rails, there are the TangoDown legs, cheaper and probably lighter than the RND equivalent:

Even cheaper, and just as good, are the Command Arms bipod legs (from Israel).

I looked into these for awhile, and I may again if I ever get into big long precision guns, but as you pointed out the weight and cost just weren't there for me. I can see how options would be pretty limited on the AUG though save for those big 24" (?) barrels. Does that not interfere with the charging handle?

Yeah the prices are not justified in anyway. I don't want a 24 heavy barrels. I will figure out how to put a nice cheap bipod sometime.

Can you remove the front grip and mount a Grip Pod?  I see a bit of rail behind the grip.

I would very much like to keep the front grip. I will probably just use it as a monopod...

If you're going to spend the money at least go for authenticity.

You might be able to snag a bipod rail when they make their way over here.

OP has an M1 AUG, that bipod setup would interfere with the charging handle. OP would have a gun he couldn't charge.

You can use the factory accessory rail which would allow you to use a bipod and have a vfg. https://steyrarms.com/accessories/aug/steyr-aug-factory-accessory-rail-kit.html
