I used to think all of them were $150,000+, but I recently found out that some can be had for $14,000-$24,000. Still an incredible amount of money for one, but I figured it could be a grail gun I start slowly saving up for over the next several years.

Wondering if any of you have experience with one. Good for hunting North American game? Or just save the idea for the African Safari boys?

Basically for Africa though you could use it domestically. Look on accuratereloading.com for deals.

I inherited one, including one full box and one partial box of ammo.  Paying ~$20 a round hurts.  Pulling the trigger on those $20 rounds also hurts.  Knowing that I could kill anything up to a T-rex if I needed to....  Priceless...

Cool to have if you had "money is not an issue" amount of money......but for that your might as well get a MP5 or a M16.

i've got a Chapius 9.3x74R double rifle (continental equivielent of a .375 H&H)

it's definitely cool
NOBODY has a double rifle, hell most people don't even know what it is.

I think it would be an awesome pig gun.

don't worry about shooting off tons, trust me, 10 is plenty.

I had a phase were I wanted some big game rifles, bought a .416 Rigby Ruger No.1, one box of ammo (which at the time cost about $90.00) later and I was over it. Not painful, just unpleasant to shoot.

I always dreamed of a SxS in 44 Mag caliber that  can use for hog hunting...that didn't cost an arm and a leg.

I do not remember where it came from but even as a lad I liked the thought of a nice SxS in .375 H&H mag.
