Consider sending your lower to NEF to get a 17HMR barrel fitted.
Barrel Accessory Program If you're nice they'll clean up your trigger too. |

Physically there is no reason, the rifle / twist rate will handle it fine.
One day when they make HM2 ammo readily available, you might want it back? |
