Just purchased a Chinese 7 pocket SKS chest rig. Some research pointed to these for a chest rig that would fit the Ruger 20 round mini-14 mags. Any one have experience with these? If it doesnt work i am only out 20 bucks so i am not worried.

Just received the rig. It looks like an AK rig for 20 round mags. I can get 2 in each pouch perfectly. I think only 5 pouches are for mags, but all 7 will work.

If it works, you should consider a commercial rubberized SKS chest rig offered by centerfiresystems.com.

I have a few, and each pouch holds 4 loaded stripper clips as opposed to the original chinese two. It may hold two mags as well.

The Chinese chest rig for the Type 63 that took 20rd detachable mags works great with 20rd AK mags. Hold 5 x 20 mags plus cleaning kit. Cannot remember the designation off the top of my head.

Thanks, even with all of my toys, it's my go to gun. It hits Minute of Varmit at the ranges I shoot and i never have to worry about it. I put a little grease on it and it will go in for ever.

I went with the Hogue stock because I have an OD Green fetish lol

I got it from ebay from this guy...

got my 4 pocket AK rig this the same style from him to. Good seller, Sent priority and got in in 2 days.

That is a great looking mini, OP. I wishi hadn't sold my pair of Tacticals (14 & 30), but the way things are these days I can't justify spending what little free cash I have on non-essentials.

I have a different Chinese chest rig that was made for the 20 round AK mags. The 20 round mag pockets work great for 30 RD AR mags, either with the flap folded behind the mag, or with a loop extension.

I believe this is the Type-63 rig designed to hold the 20 round mags for the Type-63 rifle. Even though only 5 pouches are for mags, I am using it as a bandolier and have mags in all 7 pockets for 14, 20 rounds mags
