I ended up using the sights qd mounts on the rails and it hangs just perfect with vtac sling.
And yes there are no heat sinks on the arx, I have run mine hard and the handguard does not get warm. |

I never had much interest in these until the price hit $850 so I had to pick one up. I have an extra MRO I am thinking about throwing on it, what height mount would be best?
|
|

Low mount.

Disappointed to see Shooting Sight doesn't have any new stock of triggers, and heard he hasn't for a bit now. Anyone know if that batch was a one-off, or he intends to make more at some point?
Hearing that a Geissele-level trigger was available for the ARX factored into my purchase decision. |

Email or call him. Tell him that botach dropped the price and a bunch are ordering rifles.
As pissed as I am that the priced dropped, I encourage the large new interest in the rifle. The more people bugging Beretta for caliber changes, and vendors for parts, the more chance we have for development. |

I e-mailed, got a response from a fellow named Art. Says he's making more, should be only a month out. Woot!
Also, looks like the Botach sale is over. Back up to $1200. |

Yup, that's how it's been on my end so far as well. Really looking forward to this gun at this price. Don't want a cancelled order.

Just pulled the trigger on one for $850. I've handled one before and wasn't too impressed but for $850 I couldn't resist.

I got a tracking number too. It could be a few days before it actually ships though. I've gotten tracking numbers from Botach in the past and sometimes the carrier doesn't get the package from them right away. Still, good news.

They still haven't shipped mine. Contacted them and they confirmed they've got all my payment info and the stuff my FFL e-mailed them though, so I'm all set, just waiting.
Botach needs additional pylons, I'm impatient! |

UPS appears to have lost mine Going to call botach today and see if they can start the process of having UPS find it.

I got mine yesterday. It's pretty cool.
One criticism is when you fold the stock and hook it onto the receiver, it pulls the receiver wall apart away from the lower trigger housing a little bit. There isn't a latch to hold the stock folded. Instead, there's a downward facing hook molded into the receiver wall and the stock has an upward facing hook. You snap the stock hook under the receiver hook by flexing the polymer of the whole stock/hinge assembly. In doing so, at least one mine there is pressure pulling the edge of the receiver wall out a bit. It might lessen as the stock/hinge wears in from use. Also the rear sight design really blocks your field of view, like you're peeking over a wall through the aperture. Also the backup sights looks almost as if you can swap the locking slider to the other side, but if possible I don't see how to do it. Currently to deploy the sights you push from right to left, and the slider unhooks from the central t-shaped post on the part that flips up. Being a right handed shooter I think I'd prefer to deploy them from left to right, or at least the front one that way as I can thumb rear open with a Cali compliant grip wrap-esque motion. Apparently my account is considered new since I'm not that active on here, so I'll post the rest of what I'd written separately. |

continued...
My front sight almost locks down like a Magpul MBUS if you move the slider back to the right before stowing the sight, but I don't think it's by design. The sights are not the most horrible things in the world, but I will probably move some MBUS to this from an AR and replace those with some nicer metal ones. It is cool that the sights slide off the rail with a bullet tip pushing on a detent. I didn't find the cheekweld to be as horrible as I expected after reading the reviews. It may be a good idea to put some lower height backup sights on instead of AR height, perhaps some HK style ones if they are lower. It's pretty light feeling. A little front heavy under the barrel. I ordered the lower picatinny rail and bolt handle cover/extension. I added a couple of Beretta shirts to bring the order value up to get free shipping. If you don't check out right away after registering with stuff in your cart they email you a coupon code to encourage you to check out. I didn't pay attention to these at all until I saw the Botach preorder, and then I went back and watched all the Youtube videos and read the reviews and articles before and after deciding to go for it. The ambi stuff is cool but not a necessary feature for me, although I think their extractor/ejector design is pretty damn ingenious. I like the piston system and dual extractors and folding stock. I don't know why they didn't keep the ARX-160 style bolt release, as I like the within trigger guard design they use on the select fire version. If you pull the barrel and fold the stock, you can put it in a normal backpack. With two quality steel mags and a soft case with free shipping, it was kind of easy to justify paying almost a grand less than Bass Pro has it in stock for. I'm not sure how Botach did that, but I don't mind that they did. |

Well it wasn't lost, a day later than expected by UPS and going from vegas to my FFL without stopping anywhere inbetween according the the tracking, I have my ARX. Super happy, can't believe I got it for $850. Mine too came with the carry case, 2 steel mags, and a cheap sling. The sights are awful, the trigger is better than I thought it would be. This is the first time I ever bought a gun without seeing or holding one before hand, so far I think its a winner. Now to order some Troy micro sights, the bottom rail, and maybe a MRO for it.

Mine shipped today. I've been a fan of the ARX for a while after shooting one at a local range. I felt the balance and ergos make up for it being a bit of an ugly duckling, but I couldn't justify the cost given my opinion that the IWI bullpups offered more bang for the buck. I'll likely replace the sights or just keep them folded and add an aimpoint. I'm considering attaching an OSS suppressor I have sitting around, as the reduced back pressure may prevent or mitigate piston pop.
Overall, I felt that the gun was worth the $1250 it started selling for late 2016; for $850, it's a ridiculous bargain. |

Yaaayyy! Mine has finally been mailed. Can't wait!

Man, I really wanted to like the ARX-100, but there were too many things that I felt were outdated.
