This is my first attempt at spraying a rifle, should do well in my area during fall, winter, and spring. It might have too much green for winter but I can tweak it.  Overall though, I'm pretty satisfied for a farm gun.

I'll get daylight outdoor pics tomorrow morning.

It's so ugly...it's beautiful!

Laundry bag and sponge?

You would be correct, and I agree. I wanted it to look haphazard/utilitarian, all function.

My only critique is that it looks a bit washed out, but it's probably going to blend in with the trees pretty well.

Not too bad for summer foliage, can't wait for fall though.  The only things missing are some hard dark lines, or I'm just overthinking things as usual.

I'm pretty good at the laundry bag; sponge, not so much.

I really like the ATACS-aspect of the sponge.

Not bad at all.  That sponge lichen/moss is perfect.

One thing I've noticed is that people are hesitant to use "zombie"/lime/bright green in their schemes, but look at how bright the green leaves are in your pix.

Even in AZ, we have a few plants/cacti/trees (Creosote bush for example, which is fairly bright green with bright yellow flowers) which can be pretty bright green yet green rarely gets used in desert camo; it's tough to make it look right.

Much appreciated man.

I bought a natural sponge at Ace and sprayed it every third time, just a moderate press. Did Krylon camo light and then dark green. On the lichen I did Rustoleum dark grey primer then Krylon tan camo. I got the idea for the moss from a members photo in the picture thread.

I'm mostly surprised at how well the Krylon copper worked, and it wasn't too hard to spray light enough to keep it from getting glossy.

And thanks to everybody for the compliments.

Snagged a better pic today, it works well but I'm still just not quite satisfied. Can't quite put my finger on it.

Looks cool but I know what you mean by "missing something". Looking, it appears to be missing depth. Check out the tree's bark, it has DARK brown/black shadows and definition, whereas your paint is sprayed but no real defining lines for the eye to follow. Regardless, I likey

Yeah I mentioned some hard dark lines earlier, it looks washed out. Pretty much decided on stripping it and trying again, or stripping and leaving it.

I re-sprayed it, went a totally different direction than before but I really like it. The only thing I might do is add some of the moss or lichen.

Oh yeah, it rode back across the farm loose in the truck bed...  Linex is like sandpaper.
