If you mix tungsten with stainless 50/50, the result looks exactly like 100% tungsten. Crap.

What color are you trying to make? T-1000 Silver doesn't mix well with other colors, IMO.

I was hoping to get a lighter, shinier tungsten. I was gonna by to do a two tone project with regular tungsten for most of the gun, and a lighter mix for the controls.  The mix I did is slightly lighter , but I'd go 70-80% stainless if I did it again. As it is, I'll just mix tungsten with black to darken it for the rest of the gun.

I would try white or darken some Stainless a little.

I've had great luck with mixing Shimmer Aluminum (Cerakote) with other colors.

Add a small amount of thinner to really smooth out the finish.
After you shake/stir the mixture, it may look like there are swirls of color in the paint; ignore that.

Once you get it in your paint sprayer the color comes out nice and uniform.
