Has anyone ever attempted to engrave through cerakote? I picked up one of Aero's light blue receiver sets to build a dedicated .22 for the wife and I want to SBR it, but I am concerned engraving my trust info through the light blue cerakote will look horrible.

You should put a disclaimer that you photo shopped the engraving to hide the identity of your trust.

Because at first glance, it looked like complete shit.

I thought it was obvious. I used my iPad to 'shop it though.

I did that through a burnt bronze build.

It looks really good. Strangely, the company that did the engraving made the final product look like it just pushed the cerakoted surface down into the metal such that it still looks cerakoted unless you look at it really really really closely.

I'm thinking about filling it in with paint at some point. For no particular reason.
