The only way is media blasting, which would damage the anodized finish in the process.

Short answer is no. Usually have to blast cerakote off. I haven't heard of someone removing it with just chemicals.

Hmm ok. Is there any way to strip the anodizing cleanly & completely after removing the cerakote without destroying the metal so I can have it re-anodized?

Its hard to say because you have no idea if the person took off the anodizing before cerakoting. We just rough up the surface with media and try to keep the anodizing. When we have had to redo projects most of the time the anodizing comes off because it already been blast once already. If the anodizing was done correctly it may stay after blasting but some anodizing seems to just blows off. Cerakote is a excellent product and offers some of the best wear resistance available, so if it is just bare aluminum you will still have a very strong product.

Exactly what Spartan said. When I Cerakote anodized parts 9 out of 10 times it come right off with no real effort. Bare metal is just as good as a base if not better.

I appreciate the info guys. I ended up finding exactly what I wanted with the normal anodizing. Which is lucky for me because they aren't even produced any more.
