I've had good luck using a lint free cloth and denatured alcohol to degrease optics.

Yeah, just a mild solution.
Some people use dish detergent, but it seems too soapy to me. |

Isopropyl alcohol is probably going to be the easiest, safest, most readily available thing. get the highest concentration you can find
