I know both of these lights will provide ample visible light for my needs, I'm curious about IR spectrum performance. I'll likely be running an OTAL for a laser with a helmet mounted MUM14....mostly shooting steel on the range but I also want enough IR illumination to see coyotes and other predators for some hunting out to about 200 yards? Is that reasonable with those lights? I like the ability to switch between visible and IR light in one package. Hunting grounds will be eastern CO plains. I'm wondering if the larger m600 is worth the size/weight penalty or will the 300 suit my needs and stay nice and compact. Let me know if there are other lights I should be considering.
