Anybody know where I can find a locking ring for a PVS-7 backplate?  I am not sure if that is the correct name but seems to describe it's purpose.  I emailed a couple vendors and AEO without luck.

Those WERE all over the surplus market but appear to have dried a bit, at least temporarily.

If you have not done so already, obtain an authentic technical manual for your NVD. The parts will be annotated by their official name and part number. This will give you some steam when you are searching. I'm pretty much done with the 7B and I don't have the TMs any more.

Thanks, I found the TM - unfortunately the ring piece is not called out as an individual repair part.  The entire backplate assembly is, however.

Even in the Maintenance Manual? Not the TM Operator Manual. I swear I've seen those rings bagged separately. You might contact the people selling complete backplates on eBay. Sometimes they have loose parts but don't want to deal with listing $10 parts.
