This is a Litton M851 wit a 9644 date code. Could be Omni 3 or 4.

Is there anyway to tell?

Does anyone have an old data sheet from this time period for the Litton M851?

This is a big help if you haven't seen it yet. Lots of info: http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_6_18/426658_How_to_tell_what_type_of_tube_you_have.html

So back in 1996 that would have been a really high spec tube right?

Are you certain those specs are for a plain Jane M851.

I have later sheets for the M851-1061 which is  a later  animal.

Litton/ L3 didint seem to identify their tubes by model number and performance characteristics like ITT did.

In other words a M851 could be Omni 1 2 or 3 depending on date of manufacture.

This tube appears to be about 1300 PCR and 57 LP/MM (guesstimates)

edit for typo

I just double checked the sheet, and yeah it's the 1061 version. Oops...

And 57 SNR would be an amazing spec, but I assume you mean LP/mm.
