The KAC wire management panels are pretty good, as well as the Larue index clips. I've had both and now use a couple small black zip ties.

You didn't like them long term?

I didn't care for the KAC panels. They're a semi rigid plastic. I mean, for what they are they are fine, but they do wiggle on the rail (KAC and BCM rails in my experience). I wound up using and falling in love with BCM's panels and my ADD wouldn't let me keep a panel that didn't match.

Plus KAC panels didn't match Magpul FDE. I think they fixed that now.

Even with clips and the other products, I always seem to end up needing to secure a wire or something else in an odd spot.
For that, I use non-adhesive (sticks-to-itself-only) silicone tape. Sometimes called "self-adhesive, and sometimes called "self fusing".
This tape is stretchy and almost always does the trick for odd jobs like this. Leaves no marks or residue.

Google around for the version of it that suits you.

I was just about to suggest McNett Camo Form, which is similar in concept, though not the same thing.

Comes in Multicam, too.

This may be a bit overdoing it, but it works.

I actually use that tape with a cut up slice of yoga mat to make raise the comb height on my bolt gun

I recently started to use the McNett camo tape, and it seems to work great for the purpose of wire management.

Also use the chicom knockoffs for 99 cents a roll.  They can be found on EBay ;usually with free shipping.

For the pressure pads themselves, I use 3M automotive foam tape- the kind that is used to put CHEVY badges on trucks at the factory.  Then, I tuck the extra wire into the holes in the handguard and get the remaining wire routed where I want and then use a bunch of 4" zip ties to keep them there, paying attention that the extra wire inside the handguard is secured against the HG interior and not touching the barrel.  I drag rifles through a bunch of trees and bushes and, knock on wood, have not had anything screw up.  I tend to overdo it with the zip ties.

Get teh good 3M version from Autozone.  I think I use 1/2 wide and an exacto knife and the combo has never failed me.

I just ordered it from Amazon with the tape idea from Augee. I'm a lefty trying to use a VITAL-2 on my Mk18 Mod1 inspired 10.5' upper. The tape switch velcro is doodoo and the standard switch is a no go while holding shooting it naturally (left handed).

So, I'll be scraping off the velcro and using the foam tape.
