Where did you get the Maritime rails? I have had a hell of a time trying to find them.

I bought an Airframe from TNVC, so I didn't have to look at the Team Wendy ballistic helmet that I had before.  Unfortunately, all that was in stock in my size was black. Fortunately, this helmet won't be staying black for long.

I need to find my Phoenix strobe and slap it on that open square though. The IFF on the SF helmet light works good enough for 270 degrees but I want 360 degrees of "don't shoot this way" flashing light.

So I made it 6 months before buying duals. Guess who is getting a set of ANVIS 9s on Thursday?

Anyone want a set of lightly used PVS-14s with a Pennicle F9815YG tube for a fair price?

So I recently came into the possession of another mum14A (tubless at the moment) that gives me the ability to run them with my Bridge mount. I absolutely love the idea of modularity and not having a dedicated bino set. I do shoot a lot with friends and family that do not have Night Vision so it really helps in passing along the experience.

Im heavily debating on selling this set and getting something a little more dedicated like a MOD-3. Not that these wont get the job done.

Its not as heavy as I had suspected it would be, but then again throw a tube in it and it goes up a few oz's.

If any one who has ran the MOD-3's could let me know what you thought I would appreciate it

That's a pretty slick set up. I like it.
I have both gain and non gain MOD3s and really like them. My quote is
"If you only have one NOD set it should be a MOD3"
That being said Imhead dual MUMs are not very heavy as well as that NVBS(or whatever) thing is supposed to be light as well.

Hahaha I don't have fancy things just friends who work with night vision for a living haha this set is the first time that I myself have "binos" I have had the monocle for a good 6 months and figured it was time to upgrade... the Bridge mount is made by NIVISYS.... I actually not sure if the company is around. NIVISYS used to be located just up the street from me but they recently relocated to Texas I have tried calling them a number of times and nothing happens.

I like the setup a lot also, but also like the thought of a modern MOD-3 haha again not that this set up wont get the job done haha. I was borrowing the NVBS's for a few months but the original owner needed them back. Going form binos to a monocle just isnt the same haha

I would fill the other mum with a tube and see if you prefer duals before you even think about dumping another 2k into a mod3 housing (because you would also need new glass).

The mum14 is pretty compact, so were i in you shoes, i likely would NOT upgrade.

Agreed

I don't know where to organize a group buy. But I knew there would be people who want these.
I went thru a cpl places b4 I found an outfit that does good work.
Approx cost would be $25 ea and I'd need to know what colors/types ppl would want. It's about a 2 week lead time.

Mods, If I'm overstepping here please let me know. Really just trying to help ppl out, as I went thru some trial and error b4 getting what I want.
Otherwise I don't mind giving my email out so anyone interested can contact me.

Yep, if there's a way for the day time to just be the words and the IR to be the hunched-up dog, that would be prefect.

I was thinking the same thing. This is a "helmet" rig pic thread right?

I'm not complaining, I like looking at other pols NODs, but dammit put it on a helmet and take a picture.

Also murderman, did we cut a ruling on if nitecaps are acceptable for this thread? I'm pretty sure you started this thread way before they were even available.

Had a chance to pick up an Ops-Core Carbon helmet for cheap, compared to what they retail for. I did a little Cola Warrior themed paint work to it.

My budget build setup. Bell bike helmet, Notoros shroud, Rhino II, outdoor adhesive, surplus ACH suspension, flat black automobile sandable primer and a Surefire IR and white light helmet light. Feels and works great. Hell of a lot lighter than a ACH. My Peltor hearing pro fits great under it too!

Not all of these helmets are ballistic. The one I posted recently is a good example of a non ballistic helmet, among many others in this thread.
