So I learned yesterday when my MPLS light arrived that the ARC rails on my ARFCOM special helmet (United Shield) are horrendously out of spec and the light doesn't fit. I can force it in about halfway from behind (giggity) on the right side, but the left won't go at all. Neither from the front. Is there a cheap(er) brand of rails that can be trusted? I really don't want to shell out $110 for ops-core. The other option is there were little pic rail segments that came with the helmet that DO fit, and the pic rail adapter with the light, but that wouldn't be nearly as clean. Not sure lower profile mounting is worth more than $100 though.

Thank you for making this so easy, a caveman's dog could do it. I just bought everything on your shopping list, plus these "FDE" velcro circles instead of your 3M loop option. I've been meaning to upgrade my Janky McJankerson tether setup. Appreciate the push. |
