It will be a helmet... some day. $1,600 sure didn't get much. Smaller than expected, and not a single sticker!

Just got the G24 for a good deal. *Hopefully* will have RNVGs next week. Need a mohawk from TNVC but MC tropic is backordered. I'm so excited, I can't wait!

So I learned yesterday when my MPLS light arrived that the ARC rails on my ARFCOM special helmet (United Shield) are horrendously out of spec and the light doesn't fit.  I can force it in about halfway from behind (giggity) on the right side, but the left won't go at all.  Neither from the front.  Is there a cheap(er) brand of rails that can be trusted?  I really don't want to shell out $110 for ops-core.  The other option is there were little pic rail segments that came with the helmet that DO fit, and the pic rail adapter with the light, but that wouldn't be nearly as clean.  Not sure lower profile mounting is worth more than $100 though.

I built some ghetto Tarsiers out of buttler creek caps, Iris Diaphrams, and some polycarbonate lens.

getting budget lid together while waiting for a WP 14 from JRH

PTS MTEK Flux
Manta ir only
chingchong Amazon mohawk
peltor rangeguards / unity marks
chingchong mlok mount / room illum Fandyfire
OD MLPS red/white

the Fandyfire was going to be my forward light, but the mount/light doesn't clear the earpro. Suggestions for an mlok riser flashlight mount?

still need:

notoros invg
notoros dda
some sort of fwd IR light/ mount (probably another fandyfire)
nvd lanyard

helmet is quite comfy, granted im only familiar with wearing the ACH prior. the mtek harness adjustments are nice, but if you pull them too hard youll pop the buckles open.

Flir Breach is pretty cool. Haven't really done much with all the Independence Day stuff we had going on yesterday. All I am waiting on now is PVS-14 and H-nape suspension. Mohawk Mk1Gen2 on backorder from TNVC.

Dude!!! Thank you for making this so easy, a caveman's dog could do it.  I just bought everything on your shopping list, plus these "FDE" velcro circles instead of your 3M loop option.

I've been meaning to upgrade my Janky McJankerson tether setup.  Appreciate the push.

My first submission into the NV world. Suppressor, RMR, and X300V is perfect for the pistol. I need to get my rifle kit squared away now.

Ops-Core Single-Clamp Rail Adapter SKU: 20-97-103

If you have a smaller flashlight, this thing is perfect. Gives great articulation.

Here it is:

Retractable Lanyard

Another guy mentioned he liked it, but was worried about the screws on the back - so you can dab some Epoxy/ShoeGoo over each one and let it dry if you want...it never has to be opened. I painted it with Alumahyde.
