(I was the director of IT). The amount of money lost each day to employees surfing the net is astronomical. Just at our place alone. Don't get me wrong. I'm human so I know it sorta sucks but you're getting paid to work. Not use work resources. Besides, just use your phone. |

So, I'm eating lunch at my desk... Scrolling through arfcom while I listen to a 2+hr conference call and take notes on things that apply to my site.
No joke, I scrolled through this at work, and a coworker complained about how there was a scantily clad woman on my screen. She doesn't care about gun photos, but photos of women get her pissed off. So, yeah... Let's adhere to CoC. And I hope this doesn't turn into an EO complaint. |

I probably would, if I made my own patches.

Typically the big stuff is easy so the little stuff eats all of the time. The next thing you know, you ran out of time and never hit the big stuff. When you look at what you've accomplished it's pathetic. If you take care of the big stuff first then you can usually get a decent job done on most of the gear and deal with the little stuff as time goes on. I cringe when I see what people are spending on "upgrade" camo options for little gizmos. If I really feel like something small needs to get the treatment then I'll apply some tape of the appropriate color to the area that is easily covered without impeding the controls. A couple of "tactical black" gizmos probably does not hurt my camo scheme any - it probably just adds some contrast that helps in almost all circumstances anyways. |
