That snail is fast! ETA: I called the ATF 5 days ago on this stamp and they told me January.. :-/ |

JUNE APPROVALS COMING IN NOW!
SILENCER SHOP wait times blog I honestly think ATF is gonna clear all the back logs by JAN 1 then get 41P going so they don't have to grandfather anyone. |

Mine went as follows... just found out today both Form 4's were approved...
Mailed on 5-13; check cashed on 5-21; went into pending 5-30, was given a projected approval date of 2-15; found out today APPROVED 10-2 So all in all, about 142 days from putting it into the mail box to getting approved. |

Two paper filed form 4 (individual) that went pending late April. Still waiting.
Edit, called today, went pending April 10th. My class 3 guy said he's been getting them back at 4 1/2 months. Ps on the edit, ATF said to expect my April 10th pending by November. |

Now only if my dealer would get on the ball.. I still haven't gotten my sparrow because of some mailing problem with him.. |

BATFE really needs to be moved back to Treasury and/or have all or a portion of tax stamp revenue go toward their own operating budget. If ATF directly, or Treasury indirectly through their ATF bureau, were to have such an easy $200 for each stamp it would be nothing to them to hire low level gov employees en masse to approve multiple forms every hour. They'd go on a hiring bonanza.
It's a shame they were moved to Justice in the post 9-11 knee jerk DHS and related re-org. |
