WOW! Just WOW! I got 2 stamps back yesterday but 1 of them had the DRAFT watermark on it. I emailed them via the Ask the Experts page at about 7 this morning, they had responded to the message and sent a clean pdf by 830. Props to the examiners and support staff, just amazing.

Well guys, we are on the last day of eForms submissions. Of course, it will be a little while before they get through them all, but the end is near. Will the last one to get approved please turn off the lights when you leave the thread?

7/11 with 20163340XX... still nothing.
Just shy of a year at this point |

My Last Efile right before the system froze. I could not submit my last two so I paper filed them and mailed them in.
201633xxxx Submitted 7/11 Approved 6/3 |

So I filed my final eForm at about 2200 Central time on 11 July as an FU to the ATF. Part of me was hoping that I was last.
Now I just want it to be done so I can build... Control number 20163340XX |
|
My last pre-41F eform SBS was created/paid on 7/1. It went to "pending research" till 7/25 when an examiner emailed me about the details of the shot gun and I replied with pictures as requested.
It was assigned with a permit/control number and changed to "submitted" on that day. Well, the past Wed, I emailed the very same examiner, very politely asking if she can look into the status of my application since many of the 7/9, 7/10 submitted forms were approved. 30 minuted later I received an email stating mine was changed to "Approved" my control number is 2016359xxx. |
|
|
Called about my 3340XX control number (7/11). The nice lady said "any day now".
|
|
yep, prolly within a week ef1s will be no more. Maybe an oddball or two will trickle in after that, but that'll be all folks. Makes me kinda sad. It's not as big of a deal as the 1986 cut-off of MGs or anything, but it's still the end of an era. Lame.

Still. Waiting.
I have had FOUR fm 4 cans submitted just prior to 41f approved. Yet here I sit. Waiting on an E-filed fm1 SBR. The world has gone mad... |

gotta be down the gnats nut at this point. Prolly a few forms that are pending info from the applicant or some crap like that, but eF1 has pretty much gone the way of the dodo. RIP eFroms, you will be missed even if you were a cluster F sometimes...

Then you're in the gnats nut zone. It'll prolly be just a few more days before there are no more 'normal' eF submissions left in the queue.

So the big question is.. "What happens next" once they get through them, people have speculated that wait will go down as many people abandoned filing NFA forms completely if they couldnt E-File.
|
|
I'm killing one longneck Shiner Black EVERY 5 MINUTES until my shit gets approved.
These are my demands. Clock starts NOW.... I was gonna go with an aircraft fueled for the destination of my choice and immediate release of all federal prisoners charged with non-violent NFA related crimes. This seemed less complicated. |

View Quote They claimed they were processing 8-10K per week.....but since we've passed mid-June, and are just now getting to the last of the Pre-41F stuff, it would appear as if they are only actually getting thru 5-6K per week....closer to 5. That also shows that in the 10 months post-41F, applications came in at the avg. rate of 10K per month....lets just say 350 a day..... The question is, how long will they maintain the workforce capable of 5,000 a day working on the backlog ?.....eventually that will be scaled back to deal with the average daily intake.... Another question is what is the FBI's capability to process the background checks?.....as the majority of pre-41F submissions were old-rule trusts it wasn't necessary.....but it will be for those (as of May) 100K pending post-41F applications. Mark my words that they will become (if they aren't already) the biggest bottleneck in the system My last F1 check cashed date was April 29......so I'm thinking I may be looking at an approval some time around November/December ETA: numbers from the ASA meeting with ATF in May |
