I bought a 25lb mixed-weight case of BP from Powder Inc. last Nov. for $450 delivered ($18 per lb)

IIRC, I compared smaller quantities between Powder Inc (mix and match 5 lbs) and Grafs and came away with Grafs being slightly better, and having more nearly what I wanted. If I wanted (and could store and could us up) a larger batch, then Powder Inc would have been the way to go.

I'm going to have to order some.
Pyrodex is 'ok', however, my Ruger Old Army likes a maximum load and I like the concussive 'WHOOMPF' which pyrodex doesn't seem to generate. |

I guess I'm lucky. There is a shop (Cherokee Firearms) in Springfield MO that carries 3 sizes of Graf's - Schuetzen at $20 per pound + tax. Springfield is about 1.5 hours from me and we get up there to Sam's Club 1 to 2 times a month.
I did a bit of calling around to find a shop that carries real BP. Few FFL's do because of the storage requirements. |
