I've been using goex ffg for my 45-70 ( I bought 2 lbs ).
My local store charges 27.99 a lb for regular goex. I've found that online I can get goex 2f for around 17 dollars a pound and goex old einsford for 18 a pound.

Is the Old Einsford worth the extra dollar ?

online you have to pay the minimal hazmat fee of 28$ or so dollars + shipping.

If you can get it local for 28$ do it.. unless you are buying in Bulk (which is what i do)

I'd use Blackhorn 209 with magnum primers...   best performance by far, and black powder safe.

I wouldn't use that crap in any 45-70.

Why Not?

-Cleans up with regular gun cleaning products

-Black powder safe

-More muzzle velocity

-Less sensitive to temperature changes: typically increases accuracy....

Besides the price what is not to like?
