I would like to know how much should I expect to pay for a kit to be built ?  

I was thinking about purchasing a Jim Chambers flintlock kit and as I can barely put my pool umbrella up, I was going to pay a Smith to build the kit for me.  Done right and with expertise and general love of the build.

Anywhere from $500 and up, it really gets expensive. The problem is unless it's a well known quality builder you stand the chance of ruining an already expensive kit. I am in the middle of building a rifle right now and with the advise of many TAKE YOUR TIME.
