I don't have one but thinking about it and would like to shoot and just make noise.

If you had a golf ball or pop can cannon can it be used for noise maker with out a golf ball/pop can?

Just stuff some paper towels down the bore on top of the powder.

Blackpowder plus a wad of paper or cardboard=noise and smoke. The bigger the better. Lots of fun

No use 1/4 to 1/2 or you are just wasting powder.
