I see lot of p38 listed on gunbroker ranging from  few hundred dollars to several thousand,
But not many if any have bids, why would that be?

Why is the price so different?

I do get maker and condition plays a part in price but the price range is for simulator guns from same maker.

Some P.38s have alloy frames (early post war).  Later the designation was changed to P.1.

Post war French put together don't get as much love.

Russian captures don't get much love, either.

For some reason, the P.38 just never gained the following of the P.08 or any of the Walthers.

Wartime and as close to original with rarer markings have more of a following.

Most RC p38s match from what i have experienced. My dad and i both have one and they match.

I dont think thry get much love because they dont really look that sexy. 1911 yes, luger yes, p38 meh. P-1 overpriced low cap 9mm with huge ass grip. Tokarev tt33 cool and cheap

With the exception of slide width on the later guns, and the fact that the frame is alloy, the P1 is identical to the P.38, and P1s typically cost less.
