Is this an authentic A4 sniper, and if so, why isn't anybody bidding on it? Seems like a low starting price.

Not enough pictures to see what's original and what's reproduction.  Barrel is not original, wrong date by almost 10 months or so.

Blurry pics of this same rifle were uploaded to the Firearms Talk website in July 2012.

I agree with the previous poster. Not enough pics and it's definitely not "as built" original. It might be "since rebuild" original. Something just looks odd about the receiver markings.

Mine has the 3 "X" 'd out and a 4 stamped beside of the 3.  I bought mine back in 1978 or 79 at a pawn shop in Arlington.  I had another one and let a buddy aggravate me into selling it to him.  I don't remember if it said 03-A3 on it or if it also had the 3 "X" 'd out and restamped with a 4 or not.

I don't know when this was done or by who, but it's parkerized over the restamp.
