I really cannot wait till they go out of business...

Once upon a time Classic Firearms was a good place, now it's just a shit-show and mockery of its former self.

Most of their stuff shows out of stock. Are people really paying those prices or is it just a ploy of theirs to get traffic?

People are paying, but they aren't exactly putting up large quantities of the stuff either.

The one in the pic looked like one of the ones that had the "bed liner" paint removed.

Think of the pallets of parts that were the First Samco auction

holly shit, I pain 750 for two (one bed linered and one original wood) and 500 rounds of ammo 3 or 4 years ago.  Cant you still fine these pretty regularly around $400 in decent shape?  Earlier this year I saw one at a local gun show for $500 and thought that was way over priced.

Yup, Century had them on their site 3 or 4 weeks ago for around $350.

Love me some Czech guns, but almost every VZ-52 rifle I've seen had been beat to crap with sewer pipe bores.

Bet those at Classic were rougher than rough.

only cool thing about the vz52 in 7.62x45 is that it can be converted to 5.56x45 fairly easy.

Heh,
I saved that pic from an old thread. Nobody knew who built it though. Is it yours?

no i saw it recently. I do a lot of building and this would be pretty easy to do. magwell dimensions dont need much altering, the breech is the perfect length. basically just a new barrel or sleeve the existing one. mags need to be mini-14 mags for the lip to engage the magwell.

I bought one many years ago and was very disappointed with it.  It's clunky with the full wood stock.  I didn't know there was an under folder variant.....cool.

The one I bought many years ago was just like that so I got rid of it.

This being a tech forum, can we get back to tech talk?

If it's possible, how could someone form 7.62x45mm cases out of a different case?  Is it even possible?

EDIT TO ADD:  I answered my own question.  Even found a YouTube "how to" video.  And RCBS makes the case forming dies:

Good, now I will get back to doing what this thread was meant to do.  They are borderline crooks.

Mini-14 mags on the conversion.  That's too bad.  Is there enough steel in there to weld one of the Canik AK/AR magwells in?
