The one in the pic looked like one of the ones that had the "bed liner" paint removed.

I have one here that belonged to a late friend, and it looks to have never had the bed liner applied. It's a nice dark, what might be walnut. Best looking vz52 I have seen, if it were only 762x39

holly shit, I pain 750 for two (one bed linered and one original wood) and 500 rounds of ammo 3 or 4 years ago. Cant you still fine these pretty regularly around $400 in decent shape? Earlier this year I saw one at a local gun show for $500 and thought that was way over priced.

Love me some Czech guns, but almost every VZ-52 rifle I've seen had been beat to crap with sewer pipe bores.
Bet those at Classic were rougher than rough. |

only cool thing about the vz52 in 7.62x45 is that it can be converted to 5.56x45 fairly easy.

I do a lot of building and this would be pretty easy to do. magwell dimensions dont need much altering, the breech is the perfect length. basically just a new barrel or sleeve the existing one. mags need to be mini-14 mags for the lip to engage the magwell. |

I bought one many years ago and was very disappointed with it. It's clunky with the full wood stock. I didn't know there was an under folder variant.....cool.

This being a tech forum, can we get back to tech talk?
If it's possible, how could someone form 7.62x45mm cases out of a different case? Is it even possible? EDIT TO ADD: I answered my own question. Even found a YouTube "how to" video. And RCBS makes the case forming dies: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=pEnGXgYgqiM |
