Bigbore-
What's your method for staying on top of all your firearms cleaning-wise to prevent any rust/corrosion? Do you a cycle where they all get the Eezox treatment or something similar every 5 years or so? |

It stays between 65-70 degrees with 50% humidity year round. The ones I don't shoot get an oily patch down the bore once a year or so. Had the vault for 4 years now and no issues with rust. |

Holy crap that is impressive! Had to clean the drool off my computer screen
Got anymore pics of the collection? |

How did you end up with such a nice collection?
I'm always curious whether people buy em at market (Which I assume is no since you run a company), inherit them, or how they get them. I'm working on my collection as best as possible, and doing a pretty good job I think, but I don't see any way someone like me, getting into it as of the past 3-4 years can ever get ahold of a non-semi MG34/42 or Stg44 without investing significant sums of money. |

I love that large cutaway Garand...
On your East picture, what is on the racks to the left? |

What's your outlook on the next 25 years of C&R? View Quote Look at the last 10 years, compared to the last 20. Look at availability and pricing. They're not making more of this stuff. Supply goes down, demand remains the same, prices can only go up. I think everyone should buy their limit of Garands and .30-06 from the CMP. They will only go up in value and the CMP will soon be out of both. |

Every Garand on the wall is "correct" as per any data sheet out of Duff's book. Some I received that way, others I put together. The M1s on the left are standard CMP Service Grades. |

Not a single MP 40 or FG 42. What a piss poor collection! When I win the lottery, mine will be better. Nice man cave!

Have you visited the Springfield Armory in Springfield, MA? If you have not you must.
What firearm do you enjoy shooting the most? |
|
|
I haven't shot a BAR. It looks like a beast and a half.
Is the rate of fire low enough to be easily controlled? I seem to recall there were some versions that had two settings (?) for rate of fire on them. 450RPM or so? |

View Quote My dad and I happened to be at the Springfield Armory Museum a day they were doing tours of the room upstairs - the stuff they don't have on display. This is where they keep all the experimental stuff - the "model shop" Garands, T20's,T48's and dozens of other things you've only read about in books. Unbelievable stuff they have up there. |

The slow is actually harder to control, IMO. The reduced is about as fast as you could pull the trigger. Its easier to control a rapid burst of shots blended together, and each individual shot. If that makes sense. I will gladly brag about my ability with a BAR. I have a LOT of practice with it. I can easily hold it in the center of an IDPA target at 25yds, and I have a good zero for 500yds as well. heres a vid i did at 25 and 50yds. This is the standard rate of fine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5vi2s8q8H8 |

I might be able to do that with my Savage M1 Thompson, but it is a .45ACP as opposed to a .30-06. |

The BAR is definitely my holy grail rifle. Doubt I'll ever afford one, but a man gotta have dreams!

Telling you that your collection is unbelievable, is like telling Kate Upton she is hot! You both knew it long before I threw it out there! I am very impressed with your abilities with a BAR. The rifle's performance explains why the Marine Corps always worshiped it. |
