I got a hold of my father's Remington Model 24 .22LR and I'm looking for information.  Gun is in fantastic condition (wish I could post a picture of it) with serial number 115XXX).  Gun hasn't been fired in 35+ years, I was able to break it down and give it a quick toothbrushing.  Any info on date of manufacture or lube points?

See of you can find the Browning take down .22 owner's manual on line.  If I remember correctly the Remington is made off the Browning patent.

I almost put one of those, chambered for .22 shorts only, on lay away back in 78 or 79, but I was a Spec. 4 in the Army and was making weekly payments on my M97 Winchester at the same pawn shop.  By the time I paid off/picked up the M97 someone else had grabbed the little Remington.

Found them.
