Any 1/2x28 standard flash hider will work. So will a thread protector.
I suggest buying a silencer and calling it good. There basically is zero flash at night from a .22 LR so it's cosmetic, not functional. |

This thread made me sign in at Ruger.com and check:
http://shopruger.com/Muzzle-Accessories/products/5800/1/0 Looks like the shorter suppressor is available. Of course, as a CT resident I cannot buy ANY part of an AW from Ruger, so I can't buy said flash suppressor. However, they have no issue with selling a 10/22 with a flash suppressor to a CT resident!
