i built an ar .22 pistol about a year ago with a taccom 4" barrel and my first can should be (hopefully) approved soon. will i need a spacer for the supressor? does it just screw on? do i need special washers? sorry for the questions but its my first can and i dont want to screw anything up

Measure the barrel threads - if it is longer than 0.4", you will need a spacer unless you are getting a Surefire Ryder that indexes off the muzzle (or any can that indexes off the muzzle and not the barrel shoulder).

thanks the can is an aac pilot 2. do i need peel washers or something like that? if the threads are .4 long do i just screw it on?

Here's AAC's thread spec guide. The rimfire spec is the first drawing.

If your threads are within the range, then no spacer is needed.
