So I got my first stamp and picked up my Spetre 2 and went to the gun range to test it out. Woo Hoo!  The only subsonic rounds I have are the
Aquilla 60 grain subsonic.  I tried it out in my p22 and it cycled perfectly. In my 10/22 not so much. With 22lr ammo being scarce I don't want to
chase a bunch of different rounds. Any recommendations?  CCI?  Winchester?
Thanks

If you plan to hunt with it get the CCI segmented subsonic. It is the most effective 22 LR round I have ever used on small game.

If not hunting I agree the CCI standard is good stuff.

CCI Standard Velocity is borderline supersonic in my 10/22 on cold days, but is subsonic in everything else.
I've shot a lot of the CCI HP subs, they work fine on varmints, never tried the segmented subs.
The new American Eagle 45gr Suppressor stuff does fine, but isn't as accurate as the CCI standard.

Be careful with the SSS 60gr subs out of a rifle, they are long and may not properly stabilize without a fast twist.

Pretty much anything you can find. I like cci sv, quiets?, and subs.  gemtech runs great in mine along with American eagle suppressor. I've even had good luck with Remington subs just a little dirtier than the rest. The only thing I've found my 10/22 doesn't like is Winchester 333\555 bulk which sucks being I have about 2500-3k rounds of it. But I also run a Kidd barrel. Ymmv and best of luck at finding anything in todays market.

try some CCI subsonic or Gemtech subsonic.

I use CCI Sun-Sonic LHPs for squirrels. CCI Standard Velocity for everything else out of my can.

I'd like to try the segmented but I've not seen any of it for quite a while to try out.

Thanks for the info. I did not know the cci standard was subsonic. Great to know.

You're in FL.  It won't be.  In AZ it cracks out of a rifle.  I'm sure guys testing it in Minnesota in March will have a different experience.

I have never had issues with SSS in my 10/22, although I haven't tried it out in my new Takedown Threaded barrel yet.

yep

Lapua subs were the most accurate, clean burning, deadly .22 subsonic I have ever used. Too bad the availability is sketchy, and the price is outta sight. GEMTECH subs have replaced them, and work just as good or better for a lower price.

As others have said, CCI std. and Green tag's are great for all around use.

Aguila 60gr are fine with a 1/9 barrel on an AR clone or 10/22.  Best not to fire them from a short pistol barrel with a suppressor.

I picked up some Norma subs on Cabelas online this week.$55 a brick. They haven't been delivered yet.  These are the first subs I've seen online in a while.

and Eley black or yellow box.  Pricey.
I ran across an ammo chart about a month ago and it showed 20 or 30 .22 load velocities and the supersonic break point; but I can;t remember where I saw it.

These are very accurate and consistent.

45gr, copper plated and subsonic, just about perfect.

I get a little better accuracy out of my TacSol barrel with the CCI standards, but the AE suppressor stuff is quieter and cleaner.  The waxy coating can get a little messy, but I'm guessing it helps prevent stuck-on buildup in the can.

I have a couple thousand rounds of the CCI quiet 710fps and so far in past couple of weeks I have taken out about 5 possum and 2 dillos in my backyard with it. Sounds like a pellet gun coming out of my bolt action 22LR.

CCI Standard Velocity stays subsonic from my 16" 10/22 barrel.

Through my Sparrow this set-up is very quiet with the sound of the action cycling being the loudest thing I hear (it's louder than you would think though)

Have you tried the Winchester Super X subsonic? It's an HP, squirrels, drt.

My TD with 10.5" barrel and HTA Guardian loves it.

I use CCI standard in all my 22's.  All stay subsonic and really cant hear a diff between it and CCI subs.
